You are not going to believe this – I’ve had a second publishing company asking for my Manuscript!
Below is the email I received thursday, as before I have removed the company’s name for fairness sake.

Re: Echoes of a Storm
I am writing to thank you for your recent submission of work and for your patience in awaiting our response. We would like to invite you to submit your full manuscript for further consideration for our new lists. We can accept this work as an attachment to an email, preferably as a Microsoft Word file. Alternatively, you can send it via post as a hard copy or on a storage device, such as a USB stick or CD. If you decide to post your manuscript, then return postage, in the usual way, would be appreciated.
It must be stressed that this is not a commitment to publish. We have to consider every book’s literary merit and commercial viability.
Whilst every care will be taken with this work at all stages, you will appreciate that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage when in our possession. Please do ensure that you retain a copy of this work.
Two companies have called forward my Manuscript : ) I just cannot stop smiling : )
In the five days ‘Tea II’ was on free promotion it was downloaded 224 times around the world (I was willing it to reach the 250 lol), the breakdown is as follows:
USA – 151 times
UK – 42 Times
Germany – 22 times
Brazil – 3 times
Canada – 2 times
France – 2 times
Italy – once
India – once
Not only that, but I got six sales off the back of the promotion and 2 good reviews. So I’m counting it a success : )
As a self publisher, the hardest thing i have found is publicizing your work – For ‘Tea II’ I used the following:
Facebook – My authors page (echoesofastorm) 2279 followers but only about 250 active
Facebook – my Private page – asking people to share post
Twitter – I only have 8 followers : )
If anyone knows of other places i would love to hear from you
On a side note – I have found, from experience, that the best days for promoting your books on Amazon is Thu to Mon
For us self publishing authors on Amazon, reviews are vitally important, as they help us promote our books to readers, let’s face it we all have chosen or rejected buying books (or other items) because of reviews.
I have placed a number of my books on “Free” Promotion over the years in the hope of two things:
1. To get reviews
2. If liked, people may buy other of my works.
I can tell you the ratio of reviews to books sold or given away free is rubbish. Luckily, the few reviews I have had, are very good (only one bad one). I just wish people would help support us independent self publishing authors by writing a review, if they download the story for free.
So a massive pleas to everyone who reads this and enjoys reading – If you download or read a self publishing authors work, please leave an honest review.
You don’t have to write a 5000 word essay in the reason why bit. Just a few words and the number of stars you would give.
I know it takes time and you never know quite what to say (I have the same problem when I leave feedback) but it can make a huge difference to us.
Thank you for taking time to read my mini rant : )
